Colorful Summer Wedding in Arkansas: Under the Woods and St. John Orthodox Church

A Colorful Summer Wedding in Northwest Arkansas

Did you know that, before 2020, I used to be stellar and blog weddings twice? I’d do a short blog post series called Three Things I Loved within a month of the wedding day and, later, I’d do the full blog post. Writing that series was one of the things I loved the most about blogging and, now that I’m pulling weddings to show y’all from several years ago, it’s so fun to look back on those short posts! From colorful summer weddings to small winter weddings to chilly late fall weddings to happy spring weddings, weddings in Arkansas are just the freaking best.

Case in point: Three Things I Loved About Sara and Jonny’s Wedding Day.

This colorful summer wedding was such an absolute blast + so full of joy! Get ready for the happiest wedding photos!

St John Orthodox Church and Under the Woods

My favorite thing about Sara and Johnny’s colorful summer wedding is this: all the in-between candid moments.

Honestly, the longer I shoot weddings (thirteen years and counting!), the more I come to love cute in-between moments that can’t be planned or orchestrated in any way. Don’t get me wrong, I love a gorgeous, perfectly lit photograph but I love a slightly fuzzy photograph of a bride and groom grinning at each other so hard their cheeks hurt and I absolutely adore a photograph of a bride hugging the people close to her in a hallway with a ton of shadows. Weddings are such a joy to be involved in and I’m so thrilled to share some of my fave photographs of Sara and Jonny’s colorful summer wedding day with y’all!

Get ready to smile so hard your cheeks hurt! This is such a joyous summer wedding gallery!
