Have I mentioned lately that I love photographing families? And have I also mentioned that I adore shooting summer family photographs in Fayetteville? Cause it’s true! I love a good fall family session as much as the next photographer but something about spring and summer photographs just have my heart. I think it’s all the green! The vibrancy, the life, all of it is just such a cozy and colorful setting for rad family photographs at, like, any time of day.
And today? We’re celebrating family photographs with these gorgeous images of Kelsey’s family!
Happy Family Photographs at Gulley Park
This sweet family is one of my favorites! I’ve been photographing them since their youngest was a baby and they are, just, total sunshine in the form of a family. They’re always up to laugh, always up to snug, and don’t even blink when I make them hike all around a park in the middle of summer. And at this shoot? We were even joined for a little bit by my son, Henry! He was catching frogs (obviously) in the creek while we shot these and he got to show them off to Kelsey’s wonderful family! It was a blast!
And after the shoot? Poppy befriended all the kids and they ran around the playground for a good half hour. That’s something I absolutely love about our community! When I shoot at a park and Andrew is free, he’ll often take the kids to my shoots with me and they run around playing outside while I take photographs. It’s just the freaking best in so many ways. We love Fayetteville! And all the amazing people who live here. It was so fun photographing Kelsey’s family and chatting with them after, too!

One more thing I loved about this session! Kelsey’s styling was top notch! I love the way all the blues and whites complimented each other, the way everyone had just a little touch of brown, and the way the blues popped against the gorgeous summer greens. I love summer family photographs in Fayetteville so much and think Kelsey knocked it out of the park with everyone’s clothes!
