A Quick Guide to SEO for Your Print on Demand Business
I’m so thrilled to talk about SEO today!
As a longtime creative blogger, I have so many things to say about SEO. As an Etsy shop owner – Mockups Here! + Print on Demand Here! – learning SEO for Etsy is totally different. Because I don’t write scripts for this podcast, this episode is a little jumpy. SEO is a fun and complex topic so keep in mind that there’s no one right way to do everything. Another thing to keep in mind? The more links, the better… as long as they’re related and make sense for one another.
And ask yourself! How often do you buy the first item that comes up under “Birthday Present for 10 Year Old”? Probable not very often. How often do you buy a gift a few niched down searches after seating for “Birthday Present for 10 Year Old”? Probably a lot!
You’ve got this! It just takes practice!
In our third episode of Lissa Talks Print on Demand, we are talking about SEO!
In this episode, we’ll discuss:
Think Like a Buyer, Not a Seller
Casting Small + Wide Nets
How Keywords Can Impact Branding
Are Third Party Apps Right For You?
Little Disclaimer! Please keep in mind that this is a relaxed, conversational podcast. There are a ton of resources out there for SEO and, as it can really vary by platform, I wanted to create a podcast that was more abstract than nitty gritty. Just know that, like with all things, SEO gets easier with time. You’ve got this!!
Wanna know this episode in one quote? I’ve got you, boo!
“This is a creative business. It is a fun thing to create and to make. Use it as a way to sell your own designs and your own artwork. Like, create your own creative voice… this is going to last longer in the long run… and your voice is going to get stronger with the more you create.”

Literally forever obsessed with Printify. I use Printify for all of my print on demand printing and I’ll never stop singing their praises. They’re incredible! For design work, I’m totally in love with Canva and also love finding extra artwork + fonts on Creative Fabrica and Creative Market. For photography, I shoot with a Canon R6 and most of my mockup photographs are taken with the 35L or 50L. I do all of my editing in Adobe Lightroom and have since 2011! It’s my jam!
