Colorful Wedding Photographs in Eureka Springs
I know not everyone believes in love at first sight but I’m a believer!
When I first saw Andrew, I stopped in my tracks and the words “Who is that?” spilled out of my mouth before I even knew I wanted to know. When I first saw a bouquet by my friend Hannah of Fleurish NWA, I stopped dead in the middle of Ballroom at I Street and then snuck like ten phone photographs to send to my mom and a few friends before I even left the shoot… or shot the bouquet with my real camera. And when I first saw this rainbow dress? I knew it was meant for me to photograph! I mean, THOSE COLORS!!
Before I went on maternity leave this past spring, I knew I wanted to create something totally amazing and colorful and peppy (dare I say stellar?) before hanging my camera for a few months and, when I found this little hut at a campground in Eureka Springs, I knew I’d found the place! A quick text to Hannah and an Airbnb booking later, we had the groundwork laid out for an amazing shoot! My favorite thing about Hannah’s floral work is all the textures and color and creativity – the woman is seriously gifted when it comes to floral design! – and her work on this shoot was so incredible!
The day of our shoot was insanely rainy. Like, we shot this over several hours during tornado warnings where we’d go hang out in the cement bathroom until the warning passed and the rain died down. At one point, it was so dark that we couldn’t see anything in the hut but, eventually, the sky cleared for twenty minutes and we were able to capture some gorgeous photographs of Hailey! It was definitely an adventure – the rain started coming down in sheets as soon as we stopped shooting! – and for sure one I won’t be quick to forget!
