I have such a treat for y’all today!
Casey and Chad are getting MARRIED next month and, a few weeks ago, I got to photograph their engagement session at Devil’s Den! Photographing this session was such a joy – I first met Casey years ago at her sister Lacey’s engagement session and had so much fun with her at Lacey’s wedding! – and I am so thrilled for Casey to have her time to shine! Casey is so much fun, so stinking sweet (yes! I just said “stinking sweet” – it’s the truth!), and I am so thrilled for her and Chad to marry one another in just a few weeks!! Jamie will be photographing their wedding and I am so excited for all of them!

For Casey and Chad’s engagement session, we wanted some really unique and fun nature locations so, naturally, I made these two tromp all around hiking trails while I took their photographs. I’ve been to Devil’s Den several times over the past few years and, y’all, this is the first time I’ve seen it so empty! We shot these on an early April weekday and basically had the whole place to ourselves and it made the session that much more fun. I loved it so much and love the love these two have for each other!
I have loved photographs my entire life and, while I will always love them with my whole heart in every single way, my very favorite thing about owning a photography business is the relationships. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the friends and sisters and loved ones of former brides become brides themselves! My connections with Casey go super far back – Lacey is close friends with Christine and Christine found out about me because she went to college with Rose. It’s so crazy to me how interconnected people in Northwest Arkansas are and sessions like Casey and Chad’s engagement session honestly just feel like a party. We laughed the whole time – and maybe poked a little fun at Chad (ha!) the whole time we took these!
Also, not going to lie. I totally ran into Casey and Lacey at the store yesterday by the Pioneer Woman section and it was so awesome. Cannot wait for these lovebirds to tie the knot! Casey and Chad are getting married the same day as Donna and Matt (Kristen’s wedding!) and Sydney and Jared (my wedding!) and my heart can’t even handle all the joy that day is going to hold.
