Couples Photographs at the Dickson Street Bookshop
A few weeks ago, I got to photograph Megan and Kolton at the Dickson Street Bookshop!
Megan and I have a history at this bookshop. Back in 2014, Megan was a HarBer Senior and, for her (ridiculously adorable + fun + awesome) Senior Session, we planned on shooting at the Fayetteville Public Library. When we pulled up to the library, though, the library had closed early and a line spilled out from the doors all the way around to the corner of the library. I’ve seen the library packed before – as has any Fayetteville mom who’s taken her kids to any of the amazing children events the library holds – and this line topped any of the craziness I’d ever seen there before. Turns out, an actor from Star Trek was there for a lecture / Q&A session. The crowd was bananas and, because of this – and the fact that the library closed – we brainstormed quickly and headed towards the Dickson Street Bookshop. Megan had never been there before but, like any book lover, she totally fell in love.
And shortly after her Senior Session? She fell in love with Kolton, too!
I had so much fun photographing these sweet lovebirds and I am so thrilled to share the photographs from their Mini Session! Megan and Kolton just headed back to Colorado for their sophomore year of college and I’m so glad I was able to see them while they were in town. They are such a fun and happy couple. And their photographs? They burst with joy!
But! Don’t just take my word for it. See for yourself below!
Huge shoutout to the Dickson Street Bookshop for always being a book lovers dream! And an extra shoutout for letting us crash the store for twenty minutes. Y’all are awesome!
