I am so excited to be writing this blog post!
I have known Amanda since I was twelve years old. I met her on the very first day of junior high school and, from that first day of junior high to the last day of high school, our lockers were smack dab next to each other and we saw each other several times a day every single day. After high school, I ended up in Utah for several years and, after college on the East coast, Amanda ended up in New York City. We kept up with each other on Facebook and also through our mutual friend, Kelli (Amanda’s wonderful Maid of Honor!), but her wedding was the very first time that I had seen her since the day we graduated high school. It was so wonderful to see her! Amanda is such a funny and warm and good hearted person and having her as one of my brides this year was so spectacular.
Since I’ve known Amanda for years, I knew that her wedding was going to be amazing no matter where she got married. I mean, this girl could wear a paper sack and she would still be gorgeous so, along with being thrilled to see Amanda, I was also real excited to see what her wedding would be like. And just like I knew it would be? Her wedding was PERFECT! Amanda and Casey – who live in New York City – married each other at the Lehmann Rose Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis (otherwise known as one of the very most gorgeous places in the entire United States) and their wedding was so fantastic on so many levels. I loved their wedding!!
I have so many other things I could gush about to make this blog post crazy long – like about how Casey and Amanda were given the sweetest toasts ever or how no one even blinked an eye when I put Casey and Amanda on the top floor of an enormous Cardinals parking garage for their first look (which was a-mazing!) or about how Casey is perfect for Amanda (which I love – as a wedding photographer with all of the feels, it is the best experience to photograph an old friend marrying an incredible person!) or about how the venue was amazing and, when they saw that Amanda’s bouquet was wilting, they replaced it with another one or about how everyone laughed through the entire day and how all of Amanda’s bridesmaids turned into waterfalls when they saw her in her wedding dress. Their wedding was perfect. But! Instead of gushing even more than I already have, I’m just going to prove it to all y’all with these photographs. I am over the moon to share these today!
Congratulations, Amanda and Casey! I am so happy for the two of you!
