Bridal Editorial in Bentonville: A Red Wedding Dress
It’s not every day that you get to have a photographer friend model for you but, a couple summers back, I was so lucky to have Ashton of Ashton Rail Photography model for me in one of my Opal and June dresses! Ashton is an absolute gem of a human being and, as always, I loved hanging out with her! Like me, Ashton absolutely loves colorful photography and I loved photographing her in this totally over the top gown in the cutest flower field!
Also just going to say it before y’all see any photos: red is definitely Ashton’s color. She is stunning!
Zinnias, Sunflowers, and Industrial Vibes, Too
With such a big ruffle gown, I wanted to shoot somewhere where there was lots of texture and flowers but I was also really into the idea of incorporating some industrial elements, too. And after a little brainstorming? We settled on 8th Street Market! I love that, in these colorful photographs, you can see pops of road, glass windows, and buildings peppered in the background. And the last set of photos? They’re taken on my very favorite cement wall!
I know! That’s a huge thing to say (lol) but the texture on this concrete is absolutely gorgeous. And the way light wraps around it and it’s framed by some huge trees? Don’t even get me started. Loved this shoot, love this dress, and absolutely love Ashton, too! And YES! Those flowers are 100% all from my backyard garden and, two years (maybe three?) later, it’s still one of my all time favorites. Those zinnias!! I’m obsessed with them.
Huge shout out to Ashton for such a fun, laid back shoot! It was a blast!
