The Flakes! | The Happiest Newlywed Photographs in American Fork Canyon

I’ve got a fun one for y’all this afternoon! Newlywed photographs are my new jam!

This past summer, Andrew and I loaded up our car with kids and pups and clothes. We made the insane drive from Fayetteville to Salt Lake City in, like, twenty six hours and basically moved into his parents basement from late August to early October. It was so fun being with family – the pandemic lockdown has been so hard! – and, while there, we visited southern Utah (forever obsessed with Goblin Valley), went on lots of hikes, had lots of quarantined family dinners + canyon cookouts, and I worked like a mad woman. Editing with three kids at home is real difficult and, while in Utah, I edited nonstop while the kids got to spend time with their grandparents and cousins and each other. It was wonderful!

Also wonderful! These photos of Abigail and McKay! I wasn’t able to shoot a ton while in Salt Lake but what I got to shoot was so, so fun and I’m totally in love with this cute mountain session. These sweet newlyweds were married during the pandemic and it was such a blast to hang out at American Fork Canyon with them! The light in this canyon is in-freaking-credible no matter the time of day (this bridal shoot with Eesha was taken just across the road from my shoot with the Flakes!) and I’m just so excited to share these with you + so glad I got to take these fun newlywed photographs. How cute are these two?!

Get ready to smile your heart out at some seriously cute young love! It’s just the freaking best.
