Let’s take a trip down to Petit Jean this morning, shall we?
Petit Jean is the absolute prettiest spot with amazing views, out of this world rock formations, and the most incredible pockets of light perfect for bomb photos. It’s such a fun place and an amazing spot for an Arkansas elopement. I adore it and, when Carley and Randy started to plan their wedding + reached out to me to photograph it, I was so psyched to join them. Their wedding was such a dream!
Life’s funny, though. While Carley and Randy planned their family centered elopement for months, their wedding took place the week the pandemic made the world go totally sideways. My kids’ school had just been shut down, my parents had just moved here and went immediately into quarantine, my brother who lived overseas came back home with less than 48 hours notice, and all of us everywhere were just trying to figure out what was going on and what the next steps would be for quarantine and 2020 and all the crazy that was right around the corner for all of us. It was such an insane time (and it’s STILL an insane time!) but photographing Carley and Randy’s wedding was like taking a big gulp of fresh air. These two are so freaking nice and so happy together and getting to photograph them on one of their happiest days just brought so much joy + creative spark into my life. And today? I hope it does the same for y’all!
Get ready for some jaw-dropping photographs of the happiest couple, the most amazing light (that sunset!!), and the most joyful March day. Cause hey! We could all use some sunshine right now.
