Hailey and Mike are totally made for each other and I freaking love it!
Together since their sophomore year of high school, Hailey and Mike are absolutely adorable and I have been looking forward to their wedding day for years! The new Mr. and Mrs. VanSlyke were surrounded by so much love and fun on their wedding day and, this morning, I’m so thrilled to share a little of their day with you!
Here’s three things I loved about Hailey and Mike’s fall wedding day!
One: The Heartfelt Details
Hailey and her mom put so much thought and effort into Hailey and Mike’s wedding day.
From the balloon arches to the carved name plates for the bridal party to the Taylor Swift quotes to the custom drinks and wonderful signs and the engagement photographs that appeared all over The Silver Spoon Barn, every part of Hailey and Mike’s wedding day was meaningful and sweet.
Two: The Walk Down the Stairs
The Silver Spoon Barn in Joplin, Missouri has an incredible staircase that opens straight into a large room made for a gorgeous ceremony setup. With floral arrangements by Bloom on either side of the staircase, Hailey and her dad had the most beautiful walk down the staircase before walking down the aisle. Something about a stair entrance is so romantic and fun and this moment was beautiful!
Three: The Night Portraits
Towards the end of the night, Andrew and I stole Hailey and Mike for a few nighttime portraits and they are some of my favorite night portraits of all time. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: There’s something insanely freeing about shooting in the dark – the light is so interesting! – and I get so excited when my couples want to try them for some fun and unique portraits! I love these!!
Hailey and Mike, y’all are an absolutely incredible couple and I’m so thrilled Andrew and I got to spend your wedding day with you! Thank you so much for having us!! Congratulations, you cute lovebirds!!
