Six Weeks With Our Little Wildflower
Life with our girl has been so, so sweet.
Don’t get me wrong! I am TIRED! Andrew got a new job earlier this summer that requires him to travel frequently, waking up with the boys is killer each morning to get them ready in time for school, and I picked the worst time ever to rewatch Peaky Blinders to prep for Season Five (Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby is 100% my one and only celebrity crush and my husband thinks this is hilarious) but life has just been a-freaking-amazing and beautiful and wonderful. We love our little Poppyseed so much!
In her six weeks of life, Poppy has met so many amazing people, traveled to Chicago, and has already been to a botanical garden, an art museum, a county carnival, a flower festival, and she’s hung out at all of Fayetteville’s most iconic coffee shops. She dresses in vintage diaper shirts (passed down from my cousin Whitney!), nurses like a shark, lives for her daily walks, snuggles like a champ, gave her brother Max her very first HUGE smile, loves to listen to any Beatles songs by Rockabye Baby (Across the Universe is her fave!), and she has all of us totally wrapped around her smallest finger. I swear, every time I have a baby, my heart triples in size and I’m going to be thanking my lucky stars for this girl (and my boys, of course!) each and every day for the rest of my life.
