Cloudy Sunrise Bridal Photographs at Discovery Park
I’ve got a beautiful – and simple! – styled shoot for y’all today!
When we went to Seattle for McKenna and Ben’s wedding a few months back, I knew I wanted to do a styled shoot for two reasons. One! The light in Seattle is so different then the light here in Fayetteville! I love that Fayetteville’s light is so diverse and dreamy – we have insanely gorgeous sunsets + so much amazing sunlight! – and, since Seattle’s light is so much softer than what I usually shoot in, I wanted to do a shoot where I could take advantage of that, specifically next to water. Two! I knew that my shooting time was dwindling at a crazy rate and I wanted to shoot something fun before I had to go on any type of bed rest! I love shooting so much so being unable to shoot at the end of my pregnancies is killer and I’m so glad this was one of the last sessions I got to photograph before Poppy’s birth! It was a total blast!
I met Bri (love her!) when I taught at Click Away in Seattle a few years back. She is so much fun to be around and when we saw each other again it was like no time had gone by at all! We met super early for this session, totally saw a bunch of seals hanging out in the ocean, laughed as my kids + one of my nephews ran around behind us like maniacs as Andrew led them around the beach, and just had an absolutely amazing time talking and laughing as we shot these photographs! Bri’s dress is one of my favorites from Opal and June, the kimono is from Amazon, and the hat is the hat I lived in all winter long. The lighthouse at Discovery Park is absolutely beautiful, the greenery in the area is amazing, and everything about this shoot was a dream!
Don’t just take it from me, though! You’ll see what I mean when y’all see these photographs! Bri is such a stunner and I could not have asked for a better spring morning in Seattle!
