Wedding at Texas Discovery Garden
Liz and Jordan are a total blast to be around and their wedding was one for the books!
Married in the heart of Dallas at the Texas Discovery Gardens, Liz and Jordan’s wedding was packed with with many amazing family and friends. Their wedding was a total party! Their guests danced for hours, the reception lighting was totally on point, and there was a total feel of giddy exuberance through the whole entire day. Andrew and I had so much fun photographing their wedding and we loved every minute!
Here’s three things I loved about Liz and Jordan’s Dallas wedding day! It was magic!
One: Take My Breath Away
As a kid, Jordan absolutely loved the movie Top Gun. It was his jam! And on his wedding day? The bridesmaids walked down to a beautiful wedding song and, as everyone stood up for Liz’s entrance, the music switched to Top Gun’s theme song – Take My Breath Away! – and the groomsmen pulled out aviators as she walked down the aisle. This was such a fun way to kick off their wedding ceremony and, months later, I can’t help but smile huge at the memory! You go, Liz!!
Two: The Simplicity of Liz’s Flowers
Y’all know I love me a huge wedding bouquet with every color under the sun but Liz’s flowers were so refreshing! Her bouquet was so simple and elegant but also so full of texture! The tones of the flowers worked together beautifully and I just thought her bouquet – and the bridesmaid bouquets! – were the absolute sweetest and they coordinated with the dresses perfectly! Love ’em!
Three: The Dance Party
I’ll just let these photographs tell you why I loved it so much. It was amazing!!
And BONUS! We totally get locked in the butterfly garden when we snuck off for some portraits in the middle of Liz and Jordan’s reception. If you haven’t gotten locked in a butterfly garden during a wedding, have you even lived? Andrew would probably say yes. But me? I’d say no! First time for everything!
