A Lisa Frank Inspired Wedding Shoot with Rainbow Hearts and Clouds
I don’t think it will surprise anyone when I say that I freaking loved Lisa Frank when I was a kid.
The folders! The pencils! The notebooks! The keychains! The lunchboxes! I had it all!! And two months ago? I brought my Lisa Frank dreams to life by putting together a Lisa Frank inspired rainbow shoot. The shoot was a blast – we swapped out colorful animals for the most over the top bridal outfits (and eyelashes!!) – and every time I look at the photographs, I can’t even wipe the smile off my face!
Colorful Wedding Shoot in Arkansas
This shoot was one of those that fell into my lap super fast but, at the same time, it took me several days to prep! Everything at this shoot was DIY’ed. The cotton ball clouds, the paper glitter hearts, the donut tower, the tie dyed roses – Andrew and I spent two or three nights pulling everything together and it was so much fun! I knew that my shooting time was dwindling when I put this together and, with this in mind, I really wanted to create some magical and colorful photographs that could just have fun with! My friend Steph of Steph Smith Weddings came along to help me with the shoot (she may have even had to pull me off the ground at least once when I got stuck!), Brogan and Olivia made the most amazing models, and we just had a total blast creating some fun, no-pressure images with a whole bunch of color an a whole bunch of glitter.
Loved this shoot. Love these girls. Loved putting this together. Dresses are from Opal and June, clouds were made with poster board, glue, and cotton balls, and the paper hearts were made from discarded (and wrinkly!) seamless backdrop paper. And the boosts of color on these images? Some were added in post and others were achieved by shooting from little strips of cellophane meant for nail art!
