The Sweetest Summer Wedding in Bentonville, Arkansas
I’ve met so many amazing couples in my thirty two years of living and, I’ll be real: Megan and Jon are one of the most authentic couples I have ever met in my entire life. Their wedding was so rad and there was so much love for – and between! – these two awesome human beings! I mean, when a bride walks down Cooper Chapel’s aisle with a smile like this, you can’t even help but have your heart melt!
Here’s three things I loved about their wedding day!
One: The Vows
When Andrew and I photograph weddings, we usually arrive a few hours before the wedding ceremony. Megan and Jon went a little off the beaten path, though, and the ceremony started soon after we arrived! And as we waited? I talked with Megan and Jon’s officiant (Jon’s stellar aunt!) about Megan and Jon’s vows and neither of us could get over how sweet they were! Seeing these two exchange their heartfelt vows was an incredible experience – pretty sure everyone’s cheeks hurt from smiling during their ceremony!
Two: The Melted Cake
It was wicked hot during Megan and Jon’s wedding and, when we got to Holland Barn for their reception, we realized that their beautiful Rick’s Bakery cake had melted! Megan and Jon laughed so hard at this (have I mentioned I love them?) and their cake cutting was one for the books. They are so fun!!
Three: The Atmosphere When Day Turned to Night
I LOVE a good indoor / outdoor wedding reception (especially in summer!) and it was so fun to see day to turn to dusk and then into night. People chatted outside all night long, Megan and Jon had a serious dance party going on indoors, and the whole atmosphere was a total party. Weddings are such a celebration and Megan and Jon’s exploded with so much happiness! So thrilled for these two!
Congratulations, Megan and Jon! Y’all are so amazing and I feel so lucky to have been your wedding photographer! Can’t believe we’re only a few months from your one year anniversary!
