Before I write this blog post, y’all should know this: I LOVE Sydney.
Sydney reminds me so much of my childhood best friend and being her wedding photographer has been such a joy! Sydney and Jared are high school sweethearts who have been together for five years – on their wedding day, Jared and I joked about how one of his high school classmates was so impressed with the fact that he actually got to marry Sydney! – and, honestly, the love between these two is palpable.
Loving this sweet couple is a no brainer! They are so genuine!
I have so many wonderful things I could write about their lovely May wedding at Kindred Barn so let’s get this started! Here’s three things I loved about their lovely – and happy!! – wedding day!
One: Sydney’s love for her sisters!
A couple of weeks before her wedding, Sydney modeled for me for a styled bridal session and, as we ate dinner after, we talked for ages about how important here sisters were to her. Sydney’s love for her family is a tangible thing and, when her sisters helped her get dressed on her wedding day, I couldn’t help but feel chills. These three girls love each other so much and I think that their bond is absolutely incredible.
Two: Sydney’s sweet First Look with her dad.
I’m just going to put these photos right here. The feels!!
Three: Sydney and Jared’s First Dance as husband and wife!
Every single wedding is different and, for me, this is always super apparent during first dances.
Some couples choreograph their first dances perfectly (which I love!), others joke around and laugh (which I also love – it’s totally what we did!), and other tears up and, as they tear up, you can see it soak in that they’re married (which, again, I love!). Sydney and Jared had one of those first dances where you could see the “Just Married!” feeling really sink in and, as they danced, there was not a dry eye in all of Kindred Barn. I know I keep saying that Sydney and Jared’s love is palpable / tangible but, y’all, it really, really is. These two have such a sweet bond – between themselves and with their families, too! – and, during this dance, there was such an overwhelming feeling of love that filled the entire venue. It was incredible and I feel so thankful – and humbled! – that these two lovebirds chose me as their wedding photographer!
My heart, y’all!! I can’t even take these!
And BONUS! This day was one of the most memorable days of my career.
When I started my business in 2011, I thought I’d have a little side business that paid for dates and groceries. And on May 26th, 2018, I photographed a wedding in Mulberry as Jamie photographed a wedding for me in Clarksville and Kristen photographed a wedding for me in downtown Fayetteville. And even crazier? Earlier in the week, we added a third associate photographer to the team! I still can’t wrap my head around this growth spurt but I can say that I love these girls and that I am so incredibly excited to see how everyone grows in the next couple of years. It’s not going to be boring, that’s for sure!
Sydney and Jared, you’re the bee’s knees. THANK YOU!
And thanks so much to these incredible Arkansas wedding vendors, too! Wedding Venue: Kindred Barn // Florist: Vase and Vine (They did AMAZING!
