Y’all. Get ready to smile your face off.
I first met Michaela at Jessica and Scott’s June wedding last summer where she was both the videographer and the girlfriend of the bride’s bother. I liked Michaela immediately – she is so vivacious and energetic and full of life! – and, this past spring, we reconnected when I needed a dog sitter and she became the new love of Einstein and Victoria’s life when she watched them while we were in Colorado this past March.
A month later, Kristen and I needed a couple to photograph while we went over Off Camera Flash (whew!!) and, when we started brainstorming locations and outfits, I knew that Michaela and Alex would be the perfect fit for the shoot we had in mind! These photographs are all by Kristen – I was there but basically hung out in the background and made jokes about how I was a photographer mom – and, in retrospect, this is even funnier because Michaela is the newest member of the LCP Team (more on that later!) and she’s jokingly called me “Mom” enough times that, when I joked about being a photographer mom to Andrew the other day he said, “I know. I’ve heard Michaela call you Mom” without even missing a beat. Hahaha. Love this girl and love these photographs by Kristen! Homegirl is so talented!!
Kristen always has the CUTEST ideas for props and I love these next photographs so much! Love the pizza, love the huge cups of soda, and love the Twizzlers, too! Michaela and Alex are so much fun and so playful and in love and I just love these. They are so rad and Michaela is such a stunner!

Kristen Herrington is an associate wedding photographer for Lissa Chandler Photography. And a few weeks before this shoot? She did the CUTEST portrait session at the same abandoned car wash location with roller skates and it was adorable. Love her and her fun ideas!
