A few months ago, I sat in my mother’s Chicago living room pouring over prom dresses on Amazon. I had four shoots coming up in two different states where I needed gorgeous – and affordable! – gowns and, as I was clicking through different dresses fluctuating between horror and amazement with, like, five billion tabs open, I came across an enormous blue dress with white fabric flowers everywhere.
And y’all? I was obsessed!!
My mother, on the other hand, was very nonplussed.
When I excitedly showed her the dress, she looked at the screen and then looked at me and then looked at the screen and, in her super sweet Souther accent, said this: “That is the ugliest dress I have ever seen”. And like an awesome daughter? I said a sassy “whatever!” and bought the dress anyway!
Months later, I posted a photograph a few of Behind the Scenes photos of Annabelle on Instagram Stories and, when I pulled my phone out later, I saw several texts from my mom totally gushing about the gorgeous dress I had just posted and I basically died laughing. It’s all about vision, y’all!! And this one? It was totally brought to life by Annabelle and Hannah from Fleurish NWA!
Honestly, doesn’t Annabelle look like a fairy tale princess? She is AMAZING and I wouldn’t even be surprised if birds or deer or any adorable animal followed her around in real life. Not to sound like a thirty one year old mom, but she’s so stinking precious!! Love her!

This year, I’ve been pushing myself to be more creative and to shoot more of the ideas I have floating around in my head (it’s basically a tornado in there, y’all!!) and this shoot was everything I imagined and more! Love this dress, love the location, love the amazing, incredible – life changing? – tulip bouquet Hannah created and, basically, this shoot gave me goosebumps. Nothing like an incredible dress on the sweetest model in the middle of the forest! But don’t take it from me!! Feast your eyes on these instead!
P.S. YES!! There’s totally a photo of Annabelle on the Amazon listing for this dress! That means I’ve officially made it in the photography world, right?! Hahaha.
