It’s been too long since I’ve shared an engagement session!
Megan and John are THE BEST and their March engagement session was one of my favorite sessions ever. Megan and John live in Texas and, the day before their Fayetteville engagement session, I met Megan at Savoy for coffee (you know I got the Southern Belle!) and we talked for hours until the shop shut down. Ha! I love this awesome couple and am so ridiculously excited for their Cooper Chapel wedding this summer – it’s going to be so fun, so full of joy, and, if their engagement session was any indication, totally full of laughter. These two are the real deal, y’all!! Love ’em and how fun they are!
A little more about Megan and John: Megan and John met at the University of Arkansas (love that we got to do photographs where they met!) and their story goes something like this!
Megan’s side of the story: As a freshman it was hard not to notice John. He stood out in a crowd with his magnificent head of curly hair and mesmerizing deep voice. During our fraternity retreat we played a game of Sardines in which he joined me in my hiding spot under a table. Pretending to be scared in the dark, I reached out and grabbed his hand – I’ve rarely let go since.
John’s side of the story: The first time I saw Megan, she was getting hit in the face by a fistful of whipped cream. We were at a service fraternity retreat in a local church, and her friends had ambushed her in the kitchen. After a moment of shocked laughter, she chased them around and returned the favor. I immediately admired Megan’s absurdity, good nature, and long-lashed husky eyes. When she got handsy in the dark later that night, I knew she was a keeper.
Did I mention that I love these two? They are so sassy and fun and I love it!!
Megan and John love to travel (Andrew and I do, too!) and I love how unique and fun these photographs turned out on campus. This building has always looked so European to me and I love how, even right where they met, we could bring in something that brought in their love for exploring new places!
Aren’t they the cutest?! I can’t even with these photographs!!
After shooting at the University of Arkansas, we hopped on over to one of my favorite parks – Gully! – and had so much fun taking these! We shot this session on a Saturday and the park was seriously packed with people and, not going to lie, all of the laughing coming from the park made us laugh harder – especially when I was contorting to all kind of weird angles to block people out of the shots. Hahaha. These creek photos are some of my very favorite engagement photographs of all time and I’m so thrilled to share them!
Can’t even wait to see y’all again, Megan and John! You’re AMAZING!
