Ah! This editorial session has my heart.
It went like this: I tried to use this dress at a styled bridal session in January and we got totally rained out. I don’t meant that it was a little drizzly and we called it good – I mean that we got to the location, got the dress on and, as soon my model was zipped up and ready to go, the heavens opened up and we were in the middle of a torrential downpour and a tornado warning went live. It was crazy!
I’ll shoot in basically any condition but a tornado warning during an outdoor editorial session was a little much – this also happened right as we finished Reagan’s senior session years ago! – so we decided to reschedule the session and, two months later, I finally got to photograph this gorgeous dress (it’s from ASOS!) and Lucie made the most stunning model, like, ever. Love her!
Also rad? This stunning bouquet by Hannah at Fleurish NWA! Hannah is such a gem – her work has so much feeling! – and I was so excited to collaborate with her on this shoot. She’s doing the florals for one of my April weddings at The Garden Room and I am so pumped!! Loved this session with Lucie, loved this sweet bouquet, and love these photographs! So thrilled to share ’em!

Not going to lie – these photographs were taken at a super popular local park in Fayetteville and there were, like, thirty people playing at the playground behind us when we were taking the creek photographs above. A shallow depth of field and climbing trees will do wonders, y’all! I seriously can’t get over the light in these – it was heaven! – and the rad pops of color from Hannah’s bouquet and Lucie’s eyes. Like, I want to turn back time and shoot this session again because it was so fun!!
