One of my very favorite things about being a photographer is this: I LOVE when I get to photograph someone who is connected to someone I already know or, even better I love when I get to photograph someone that I have met in the past. I love photographing bridesmaids and friends and sisters and friends of friends (one of my 2017 brides actually found a photo of herself in one of my sample albums recently!) and, basically, I love any connection of any kind. I love community, y’all! And unsurprisingly? Five and a half years into my business (three years full time!), so many of my clients are interconnected and it is one of my very favorite things.
Speaking of connections, when Kayla’s sister Lindsay booked her Senior Session with me, I was real excited to see her. I first met Lindsay in her family’s kitchen way back in 2014 – Kayla and Evan ended their engagement session with a fire pit, guitars, and hot cocoa – and I immediately loved her entire family. The Cook family is one of the sweetest families I ever met and, two years later, it was so fun to spend a morning in Bentonville photographing Lindsay. This girl is amazing!
^^ How cute and cozy is Lindsay’s blanket scarf? I love it! ^^
After walking around Bentonville Square for a while, we headed over to Compton Gardens for Lindsay’s second outfit. I think I almost gave Lindsay (and her mom and sister!) a heart attack when I told her that she was going to have to hike through a super dewy maze of six feet tall dead wildflowers but she was the best sport ever and we got some of the most amazing photographs. Thanks for trusting me on this location, Lindsay! You are a rockstar.
And last but not least!
Lindsay trusted me (again!) when I had her climb underneath the most massive tree of all time for her last set of photographs and, honestly, these three photographs are some of my favorite Senior Photographs that I have ever taken. #hearteyes #worthit
Thank you so much for the best morning, Lindsay! Congrats on your Senior Year!!
