These photographs, y’all! I’m so excited to share them!
Elizabeth and I had the best time at her Senior Session in late September and, nearly two months later, I’m still in love with every single image. Elizabeth’s Senior Session was so full of life, color, personality, and nature and I’m so glad this girl chose me as her Senior Photographer. She is awesome!
How beautiful is Elizabeth?!
Elizabeth and I are basically name twins – or at least our names are kindred spirits. Like me, Elizabeth goes by both her full name and her nickname (Lizzi!) and, as an Elisabeth (with an S!), I totally get that. Most everyone calls me Lissa nowadays but, in thirty years of life, my dad has never called me anything other than Elisabeth and, when people ask me what I want them to call me, I shrug my shoulders and smile non-committaly because it really doesn’t matter. When I first met Elizabeth – with my hands full of flowers and pop music playing from my phone, obviously – I asked her if she went by Elizabeth or Lizzi and, like I’ve done myself a million times, she shrugged her shoulders and smiled non-comittally and, at that moment, I knew we were going to have an awesome Senior Session. Elizabeths / Elisabeths + nicknames unite!
These next photographs are some of my very favorite Senior Photographs of all time.
I have shot at this field location countless times – Lauren found this field wayyyyy back in the day (I’m talking 2012, easily!) and I have shot so many sessions here over the past four years. Elizabeth wanted unique nature photographs for her Senior Photographs and, because of this, I pushed myself to look at this location in a brand new way. It was a little hard to see it with new eyes at first but, as I turned away from one of my very favorite spots, I saw sun shining through a creek bed and, as soon as I saw it, I made Elizabeth trek around the creek so I could shoot her across the water and I fangirled over the light (and Elizabeth!) the entire time. I LOVE these. So much!
Halfway through Elizabeth’s Senior Session, we hopped in our cars and drove across town for a second (beautiful!) nature spot. Can you believe these next photographs were taken right behind a few booming businesses? Unexpected locations like these are my favorite!
Also, with her white shirt combo + the field, I feel like Elizabeth belongs in a modeling campaign. This girl is so gorgeous – inside and out! – and photographing her was so much fun!
This blue velvet chair? I totally swiped it from my nine year old niece while she was in school. Ha!
But seriously: Shoutout to Sophie for lending us this chair for Elizabeth’s Senior Photographs! She is the sweetest and said, “Oh, yes!” when she was asked if I could borrow her chair for a photo session. Finding adorable velvet chairs is hard, y’all! I definitely need to pick up one (or two! or three!) to add to my ever-growing chair collection this next year.
Thanks so much for having me take your Senior Photographs, Elizabeth! I had a blast with you!
