This past June, I met Lauren at her sister Kate’s wedding.
I liked Lauren immediately – she is one of the warmest people I have ever met! – and, when she contacted me about photographing her upcoming wedding, I jumped at the chance. This girl is such a (gorgeous!) gem and I’m so thrilled to be her wedding photographer this fall!
Unsurprisingly, Lauren and Collier are the most amazing couple. These two are so laid back and happy and so in love with each other – when I met them this summer, I totally thought they were already married – and their engagement session was beyond fun. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous to shoot their engagement session. I was coming back from a very laid back three weeks of shooting (I’d only shot three sessions in three weeks!) and I felt a little rusty! I absolutely love working with sisters and bridesmaids of my past brides but, often, I get real nervous before their engagement sessions. I’m not sure why, exactly, but I think it’s because I get really amped up for their sessions and basically want everything to play out like a comet: sparkly and (outwardly) effortless and ridiculously gorgeous and once in a lifetime, too. I mean, that’s not to0 much to ask for, right?!
And this session? It was PERFECT! Lauren and Collier exceeded all of my (sky high) expectations and I am so over the moon to share their photographs with y’all. Lauren and Collier love books and we started their session at Book Lover Heaven – aka the Dickson Street Bookshop.
Get ready to smile your face off, y’all! These two are adorable!
After shooting at the Dickson Street Bookshop (thanks for always letting me crash your books, y’all!), we walked a block over and headed to Sideways so Lauren and Collier could play pool. Also, huge shoutout to Collier! He made this location happen and I absolutely loved shooting here.
These two! They are such a fun couple and I love these next photographs! They are so unique!
After a whole bunch of indoor photographs, it was time to hit the outdoors!
Fun Fact: I had taken two Barre classes within 24 hours of each other the day of Lauren and Collier’s engagement session and, when climbing around the dried up dam, I couldn’t stop laughing. I was so sore and it was hilarious. Lucky for me, Lauren and Collier laughed with me!
And one more fun fact! Lauren and Collier have been dating for ten years (!!!) and they are in for the most awesome life together. These two are so full of life and, basically, they are magic. November can’t come fast enough! I cannot wait for these two to marry each other in Eureka Springs!
