“You are my today and all of my tomorrows.”
I’d never heard this quote before Kate and Zack’s wedding but it’s official: It’s my very favorite wedding quote ever. Kate and Zack are the type of people that anyone can get along with – they are so much fun! – and, nearly two months after their wedding, I’m still pinching myself that Andrew and I got to be a part of their day. These two are awesome and their wedding was such a party!
I’ve already gushed on Kate and Zack’s wedding at length – seriously, I wrote a whole paragraph just about Kate’s ridiculously gorgeous wedding dress – so I’m going to cut to the chase and get to the good stuff y’all really want to see: the photographs.
Kate and Zack became Mr. and Mrs. Asbury at Teatro Scarpino and their wedding was perfect!
^^ I can’t help myself. I have to say it again: I LOVE Kate’s wedding dress! ^^
Another thing that I loved? That Kate taped a lucky penny on the inside of her wedding shoes. A third thing that I loved? That Kate’s wedding shoes were her bridesmaid’s shoes from Jamie’s wedding.
How cute are Zack and Kate?! This next photograph gives me goosebumps!
I had so much fun taking these bridal party photographs. Kate chose to have her sisters as her bridesmaids and it was so fun to get to spend the day with them. These three are an awesome bunch and I’m super excited to join them again on Lauren’s wedding day this coming November!
Zack’s groomsmen were not his brothers – he’s the only boy (and youngest!) with six sisters! – and they were, hands down, one of the easiest groomsmen parties that I’ve ever photographed. Everyone laughed the whole time we took these photographs – and not just in the “fake laugh for me!” way that I make everyone fake laugh when I first point my camera at them but in the real way where your cheeks scrunch up and your belly aches from moving too much. Ha!
After formal photographs, it was go time!
Kate and Zack had one of the most unique wedding setups I’ve ever seen. Their ceremony was short, they were married by one of their very best friends, their guests stood and cheered through the entire wedding, and the whole thing was a huge celebration. It was perfect! And yes! I already said “It was perfect!” at least once in this blog post but it was so perfect that I had to say it was perfect again.
The first time I spoke to Kate about her wedding plans, she mentioned that she and Zack wanted their guests to feel like they were at a big party. Every wedding is a celebration; Kate and Zack’s wedding just took it to a new level. Their ceremony was awesome and their reception was so full of life and fun and dancing (which may, in fact, be the definition of a party) and, if the huge smiles on their guests’ faces meant anything, I’d say that each and every one of their guests had a spectacular time.
I so loved photographing your wedding, Kate and Zack! Thank you so much for having me!
