Sometimes, you get to photograph a killer awesome runner and it is amazing.
Two weeks ago, I met Nathan and his mom in Bentonville and had the best time photographing his senior session. Nathan is a 2016 Senior at Bentonville High School and, for his session, we took photographs at Crystal Bridges, Downtown Bentonville, and the track on Tiger Boulevard. Nathan, who had run (and placed in!) a half marathon the day before, was so easy to photograph and I had such a blast getting to know him and his awesome mom, too. Nathan’s family has lived in Arkansas for years but, before that, they lived in the same area (Layton, Utah!) that my in-laws both grew up in and it was so fun to talk to them about fun places we’ve traveled to in Utah (Moab, I’m looking at you) and, basically, this session was the best.
As always when I blog my sessions of boy seniors, I feel slightly bad about posting Nathan’s senior photographs on the girliest website in the universe but I am so thrilled to share these with y’all! Thanks for being so awesome, Nathan!
Fact: We shot Nathan’s session on a Sunday evening and I have never seen so many photographers at Crystal Bridges in my entire life. We fought for our spots here, y’all!
I am loving this new parking garage in Bentonville. I hadn’t been to Bentonville Square for a good four or five months and I couldn’t believe how much the area has grown since then! I’m thoroughly convinced that Northwest Arkansas is the best place to live in the country and it’s so fun to see the area grow so much, especially when that growth includes awesome places for photographs.
This photograph of Nathan and the whale makes me grin so hard. I love it!
We finished Nathan’s photographs by doing some running photographs and it was so much fun. I don’t know much about running (ha!) so it was really fun to come up with runner’s poses with Nathan and his mom (their whole family runs!) and, since the light at this time of day was absolutely perfect, I had the best time taking these and I absolutely love how they turned out.
And spoiler! Right after I finished these photographs, I rolled my ankle like a boss. Thanks for not judging my clumsiness, y’all! Because that was definitely the most elegant moments of my life.
