Three things you should know before reading this blog post!
Two: I’m insanely terrified of driving up steep and skinny hillside/mountainside dirt roads that have a huge drop off on one side (aren’t we all?!) because once Andrew and I almost skid off one during an insane Utah snowstorm (luckily we crashed into the mountain instead!).
Three: This blog post is going to be real fun.
Chloe is one of my 2016 Senior Models and she is awesome. Chloe is a senior at Shiloh Christian High School and she is super spunky and full of life and also insanely gorgeous – I don’t know if I’ve ever met someone so easy to photograph. The girl just shines! Chloe has competed in rodeos for years so, for her Senior Session, we were both really excited to have her session take place at the stables with her horse. Now! As I mentioned above, I’m terrified of horses but, because I also think horses are beautiful and totally majestic, I’ve gotten to a place where I can shoot them without shaking (visibly!) in my boots. I loved photographing Chloe and her horse – they obviously have such a bond and, after knowing Chloe for half a year, it was really fun to get to see her with her horse and see that part of her life. It was awesome and her session was wonderful in every way possible!
How cute are these mini horses?! My husband LOVES mini horses so, naturally, after we wrapped Chloe’s session, I took some phone pictures of the back of my camera to show off the mini horses to my husband and brag about what I’d been doing that afternoon. I mean, they’re so CUTE and Chloe had to hear my squeal over them for, like, at least twelve minutes.
Sidenote: I am conclusively not afraid of mini horses.
After we finished up at the stables, we headed to the most gorgeous hillside/mountainside view over Bentonville. And to get there? We had to drive up a super steep and skinny dirt road that dropped totally off on one side. I was driving my husband’s Honda Fit and, since the car is a total lightweight (unlike my old school Honda Pilot!), I got stuck! And after I got stuck? I slowwwwly slipped a bit off the drop off side of the road. So! After that! I backed that little white car all the way back down the road and then Chloe, my super funny and awesome-to-be-around Senior Model who is twelve years younger than me gave me a ride up to the top of the hill and I’m still laughing about this. Pretty sure Chloe is, too!
