Kristy and Steven’s wedding was a dream – a big, fat, fall dream wrapped up in fall covered flowers, a dreamy (tiny!) chapel, and a huge, outdoor lodge.
It. Was. Fantastic.
The first time Kristy and I talked, I liked her enormously and tried my hardest to use the Force to get her to sign her wedding with me on my spot. Ha! And, while that is a slight exaggeration (I don’t think even Darth Vader could use the Force over Skype!), I was super excited when she booked her wedding with me. Kristy is adorable and funny and an absolute joy to be around and, better yet, she and Steven are so perfect together! Steven is a total jokester with a heart of gold and, together, they are basically the most adorable couple ever. Have I said “adorable” in this blog post enough yet? I’ll say it one more time just to be sure: These two are adorable.
So! Here are the details! Steven and Kristy were married at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Eureka Springs this past October and their ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Steven and Kristy currently live in Kansas City and, since their family is from Louisiana, they picked Eureka Springs as the destination for their wedding and the church was full of so much love (and gorgeous light and colors and stained glass!) and I’d totally photograph their wedding again and again and again if such a thing were possible. The love these two – and their families! – have for one another is so amazing to be around.
Let’s get started with their photographs – they are the happiest wedding photographs ever!
The stained glass at Saint Elizabeth’s – which is the church right below The Crescent Hotel – was so gorgeous. I’ve not been lucky enough to shoot around stained glass many times and shooting with this stained glass was to die for – I even made a mini blog post about it!
I think Steven and his groomsmen had a good time taking photographs. They were hilarious!
See what I mean?! These two are so freakin’ cute! I love them together!
Kristy and Steven’s reception was at The Retreat at Sky Ridge and the view from the lodge was ridiculously gorgeous. I loved this venue so much and feel so lucky that I got to photograph this amazing wedding! Everyone there was such a blast – even the sunset was perfect!
