Merry Christmas, y’all!
This year, we’ve kept things simple (and cozy!) by staying in our pajamas all day, snuggling on the couch, reading new books, coloring new coloring books, and watching our kids play with all their new goodies – I may, in fact, be writing this with a Buzz Lightyear flying over my feet as Henry says “Let’s fly through the sky!” as Buzz shouts on about infinity. It’s only 3pm, but it’s been the most heavenly day and Andrew and I have loved every second.
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of Christmas activities – baking goodies! making Christmas ornaments! hunting for lights! parties! – but, if I’m being honest, I think our favorite Christmas activities were the Lights of the Ozarks on Fayetteville Square (like always!) and also Cookies with Santa at the Library. Max was so starstruck meeting Santa this year (the second time, not the first!) that, afterwards, he kept saying, “I was just a little bit shy today, Mom” for the rest of the day and it was the cutest. Five year olds are funny.
Here’s a few iPhone photographs from last night and this morning! My brother and his family moved back to Fayetteville in early October and it has been so much fun having them back around. How cute are these four cousins in their pajamas last night?!
Max woke up bright and early this morning (side note: Homeboy wakes up bright and early every morning) and woke up us ready to go. Henry, on the other hand, had stayed up trying to meet Santa all night and it took us a good fifteen or twenty minutes to coax him awake. But when we did? It was magic! I hope everyone is having the best holiday season! Merry Christmas everyone!!
