A few weeks ago, I got to photograph Canem and her THREE boys!
This is the third time that I have been lucky enough to photograph this a-mazing family and I just love them more and more every year. Canem and Michael’s oldest, Levi, is just a week or two older than Henry and it was so much fun to see him love on his little brother during their family photo session. I think that Canem and her family are wonderful for so many reasons: They are all crazy smart (last year, Levi could already count past twenty! Twenty! And he had just turned TWO!!) and fun and their whole family is so full of love and, best of all, they totally embrace the same kind of comfortable chaos that my family and I are all about. I mean, with two boys two years apart, is there any other way to live? I think no! I love it!
I love photographing families in their home and I would seriously shoot these kinds of sessions every single day – they are that much fun + that heartwarming. Homes are so important to families. I know that, at face value, that sentence sounds like the cheesiest (possibly lamest?) sentence that I have ever written on this blog (and I have written some unabashedly cheesy ones!) but, as a mom myself, I just think that homes are so important to families because they are literally the place that your children are living and growing and loving in. I cannot think of a better place for a family session and I LOVE that Canem and Michael have three years of photographs in the most important place in their world – their home. I can’t say how much I love this enough and think that everyone should be photographed in their home because homes make up so much of our worlds. They’re just so important and photographing families in their home is, like, the most heartwarming thing to photograph ever.
And! With that! I am done cheesing! Here are the happiest family photographs! We started Canem and Michael’s family session at their home and, after a while, we headed to a nearby field and let the kids run wild while a student sat at the top of the hill and played the guitar (because, obviously. We live in Fayetteville!). It was perfect. I love this family and absolutely love how their photographs turned out this year! I’m so excited to share these!!
