Before I get started on this blog post, I just need to make one thing totally clear:
Marlayna can rock a serious face like a boss.
Seriously!! She is the giggliest girl ever (and I say that as a giggly girl myself!) but, somehow, she can flip a switch and smolder the camera like it takes no effort whatsoever. It’s such an awesome talent and it was SO much fun to hear her laugh + snap into a serious face in a hot second only to start giggling again as soon as I took the camera away from my face. Marlayna is so much fun, has so much personality, and is basically just the best Senior ever. I love her!
Marlayna is a High School Senior at Arkansas Arts Academy – she was in the theater program with both Reagan and Lillie last year! – and I just adored photographing her. Marlayna and her mom are both awesome individuals and I loved getting to know them both as I photographed Marlayna at the University of Arkansas this past September. We wanted Marlayna’s photographs to have a bit of vintage glam mixed in with fun, youthful photographs and we had so much fun shooting in new places (my favorite thing about the University is that there are always new places to shoot!) and, when our shoot ended, I really just wanted to keep shooting and was so sad that our evening was over. I know I said it already but, really, we had SO much fun and I am so excited to share these photographs!
So! Before I gush an embarrassing amount (which I may have already!), here is Marlayna!
