A Four Part Business Tutorial! | Find It On Clickin Moms!

Over the past few weeks, I have been writing a four part (lengthy!) tutorial over on Clickin Moms.

The tutorial series is on the boards – you need to be a member of Clickin Moms to access it! – but, because I am still on a hiatus from mentoring photographers on a one on one basis, I wanted to share the links to this series publicly so that anyone can access the tutorial. The tutorial series is called Make Your Business Scream YOU (super profesh name, I know!) and, so far, I’ve posted the first two weeks. There’s still two more (amazing!) weeks to go and, if you are in a business rut (or just in business!), I totally recommend following along with this series for new ideas on how to incorporate yourself into your business. If you’re not a member of Clickin Moms, you can join the forum here and, if you are already a member, you can read the first week of the series here and the second week of the series here. The following weeks will be easy to access within the forum once they are posted!

And Bonus! After the photographs! Here’s a quick excerpt from Part One!

“If I have learned one thing about business in the past four months and four years it is this: Your business needs to be you. Your brand needs to be you. Your photographs need to be you. There are a ton of photographers everywhere and, by being yourself – and letting your photographs reflect yourself – you will truly set yourself apart. This is a four part tutorial that will be posted once a week (mostly on Sundays!) for the rest of the month and, today, I’m going to just come out and say it: If you want to be successful in business – the kind of successful where you can’t wait to shoot again, even when you’ve shot five sessions in one week – your photographs need to reflect you and, when they reflect you, it needs to be like a punch in the gut (in a good way!). Otherwise, you are going to become stale, burned out, or, worst of all, both… You deserve better!”

Read more from this tutorial here! And Spoiler! When I write tutorials, they are super, super casual and I use no fancy lingo whatsoever – just the same good old fashioned conversation that I use when I’m talking to someone I’ve known for years. I’d love to see you on the forum so pop in and say hello!

I just stumbled on your site from Clickin Moms, and I just have to say that I love your work! Your use of color is so playful, and yet timeless. Instead of just scrolling quickly down like I do on a lot of other photography blogs, each image hooks me in and I feel like I want to explore it more. Well well done!!
