Chandler and Kade | Engaged at Mt. Sequoyah!

I mean, they’re just the best for a crazy amount of reasons. Proposals lead to engagements and engagements lead to marriage and marriages create families and I love that! My very favorite thing about proposals, though, is that they are all totally different. Some proposals are fancy and some (like mine 5,000 years ago!) are made in the middle of a crowded college campus and others are at night and others are first thing in the morning and others are at sunset overlooking Fayetteville. I love how proposals are so straight the heart and so unique to every single couple and, really, I just absolutely adore them.

So! When Kade asked me to photograph the moment he proposed to Chandler, I was super excited, brought my kids along as a distraction – rather than being the weird lady standing around with the camera behind a tree, I chose to be the mom following her kids around with a camera (ha!) – and, when Kade walked Chandler to the cross at Mt. Sequoyah, he dropped to his knee so fast that he basically was a lightning strike. It was awesome!!

I loved getting to know Chandler and Kade a few weeks ago and am so excited to share their photographs with y’all. Congratulations, you two! I’m so excited for y’all and all you have coming your way the next year – you’re going to have so much fun!
