Recently, I was talking to my husband about how much I love my couples.
I know that every wedding photographer says this but when I say it it is the whole truth and nothing but the truth: I LOVE my couples. I am, like, the luckiest wedding photographer on the planet and have the most amazing couples ever. My couples have all kinds of personalities – some of them are sassy and some of them are quiet and some of them are funny and some of them are super creative – and I love being able to get to know (and photograph!) so many amazing and unique couples who are married in Northwest Arkansas (and beyond!). I love my brides and grooms!
So! Today! I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite images from my May 2014 weddings. Y’all have seen all of these weddings before, but, this time, I thought it would be fun to put together a celebration post about all of these couples + why I think they are so amazing. It’s a totally cheesy idea and I am totally loving it and, hopefully, all of y’all will see (and remember!) why being a wedding photographer is the greatest job ever. I’m so thrilled I’ve gotten to know all of these wonderful people!
First up! Rose and Jake!
Rose and Jake | May 11th, 2014.
Rose and Jake were married at Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm and, to date, their wedding is one of my very favorite weddings of all time. Their wedding was full of so much joy! If you’ve ever met me for a wedding consultation and I’ve plopped a thirty page, thirty pound (ha!) album on a table in front of you, then you are already familiar with Jake and Rose. But! What you don’t know is this:
Jake and Rose met on a mission trip to India and Rose is the kind of girl that everyone wants to be best friends with. She honestly just gives off the best vibe – she’s totally chill but also up for anything – and, at her wedding, I was totally struck by how much her friends love her. Rose’s friends absolutely adore her and I’ll never forget how happy and excited every single person was when she married Jake. And Jake! Jake is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met and, together, these two made the best couple. Their wedding was so fantastic!
Anneliese and Brad | May 17th, 2014.
Anneliese is one of the most lovable people I have ever met. If you know this girl, you just adore her.
Anneliese and Brad have the sweetest love story. Brad met Anneliese on a blind date and, from that very first date, the two of them became inseparable. Anneliese and Brad are the giggliest couple I have ever met in my my life. Everything about these two radiates so much happiness and love and, honestly, I’m pretty sure I blushed every time I was around them. I mean, they’re just so in love! It’s adorable! Anneliese and Brad make the most gorgeous couple, obviously, but they also are some of the kindest, most wonderful people I have ever met. Their wedding was perfect!
Also! I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this in my former blog posts but, while talking to Anneliese on the phone for the very first time, we realized that she used to work with my brother. Anneliese works at the same law firm that my brother worked at when he lived in Fayetteville and, as soon as I mentioned to him that I was photographing her wedding and he said, “She’s the nicest person I’ve ever met!” and, as soon as he said that, I knew that I had struck gold. I love this girl! Also, we are totally birthday twins down to the year.
Brittany and Trey | May 31, 2014.
Brittany and Trey will always hold a soft spot in my wedding-loving heart.
In October 2013, I decided that I wanted to venture into weddings full time and, that same night, I received a wedding inquiry from Brittany. We set up a consultation almost immediately and, as I sat at their consultation, talking about how I found my son running around in his underwear outside earlier that week, my cheeks hurt from laughing and knew, right then, that Brittany and Trey were totally, like, my kind of people. I love these two!
Brittany is such a beautiful and sassy girl – honestly, she reminds me so much of my sister that it’s ridiculous – and Trey is one of the friendliest people I have ever met in my entire life. Everything about Brittany and Trey’s wedding was beyond perfect and, from Brittany’s super creative bridal photographs to their engagement session (where Brittany proclaimed them a “bossy” couple – a term that still makes me laugh) to the times that I’ve randomly ran into them (and Brittany’s cute mom who owns The Striped Pig in Fayetteville!) all over Northwest Arkansas in the year since their wedding, these two are so amazing. I’m so lucky to have photographed their wedding and basically wish I could photograph it again every single weekend. They are the best!
Happy Anniversary Month to Rose and Jake, Anneliese and Brad, and Brittany and Trey! I am so lucky to have photographed all of your weddings and, better yet, am just so lucky to have met every single one of you!
