A few weeks ago, I met the Cook Family at the University of Arkansas for their fall family photographs.
When I first started my photography business in 2011, I photographed families all of the time. Sometimes I’d photograph a family in the morning and then another in the afternoon and, one Saturday in 2011, I distinctly remember photographing a family of seven in the morning, a family of three in the afternoon, and then a wedding full of tons of family that night. Something had to give this year, though, and, because of this, I just wasn’t able to photograph many families this year. Christopher and his family were the first family I photographed this year that I had no connection to (which actually isn’t totally true because their son went to the same preschool as my oldest has the past two years!) and, because of this, as I drove to Old Main on a super blustery day, I was kind of nervous! I mean, did I even remember how to photograph families?
Lucky for me, these three were a total breeze.
(And Bonus! When you’re photographing a five year old, it’s always good to have leaves on the ground around you.)
These three are FUN. And not only are they fun but they are one of those families that are so full of love and happiness that it can’t help but make you smile. I realize that I am a total mom and that I have my heart warmed, like, thirty thousand times a day (sometimes I cry at commercials!!) but, really, these three could not have made a more wonderful family. We took these in November and I am SO excited to finally share these with you today!
Get ready to smile, y’all! You’re going to love these three!
