This past week, I had the amazing experience of teaching five classes at the new (and amazing!!) photography conference Click Away in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Click Away was such a fun experience – it was so much fun to meet people in real life that I have known online for years and it was so inspiring to see so many different photographers leading so many different classes. At one point, I walked out near the Hub area and saw three classes going on at once – one on low light and another on newborn photography and another one taking place outside – and I was totally struck by how amazing this conference was. Click Away had so many different photographers with different backgrounds and specialties and all of them put so much work and heart into their programs and, really, it was just amazing.
And the day before the conference started? One of my programs was recorded and streamed online for people to watch at home (buy it here!). It was so much fun to have this class recorded and it just could not have gone better. The class was called Making Magic with Every Lens and, in the class, I shared how I shoot through lots of objects that can be found in everyday life. I love using this technique because it keeps things fresh and interesting and, most of all, is such a blast. Here are a few images from the program! And a few more from the second time I taught the class!
