A couple of weeks ago, while I was out of town at WPPI, I called my husband and he told me that he was eating the best sandwich of his life.
Now. I realize that most of y’all reading this do not know Andrew but one thing everyone knows about Andrew is this: The man loves his food. He loves eating out. He loves home cooked meals. He loves cooking. He loves talking about food. He loves thinking about food. He loves planning his meals. He loves trying new restaurants. He loves watching cooking shows (basically all he watches is cooking shows). He loves listening to podcasts about food. And sandwiches? The man makes a mean sandwich and has been making them for me at least once a week ever since we met. I love sandwiches, too, but he, like redefined them for me.
The man loves his sandwiches.
So! When he told me that he was eating the best sandwich of his life, I knew that I had to try one, too. Enter The Green Submarine! The Green Submarine is in Fayetteville off of Wedington Drive and we had a blast taking the boys there to eat yesterday- our little gluten-free kid loved the meat and the cheese (and, let’s be honest, having his own bag of Cheetos) and our little Maximillian just loved the whole experience. It was so much fun and, like my husband promised, ridiculously good. We loved it and will definitely be back!
