Fayetteville AR Wedding and Portrait Photographer | Arie and Dewa

When I met Arie and Dewa at Lake Fayetteville last week, I thought we would have this little patch of forest to ourselves and that we’d be taking most of our photographs at the lake shore. But! As we walked to the lake shore, we found ourselves standing in, like, three inches of mud and then we looked to the right and to the left and found ourselves surrounded by, like, three different groups of Ultimate Frisbee players who said we were in their way. And we were! We were totally in their way! I’d shot in this area three or four times prior to this session (this is where I took portraits of Khaki earlier this year and I stopped here during Samantha’s senior session as well), but had never encountered an overwhelming amount of mud or a single Ultimate Frisbee player. So! I was super embarrassed that one of my secret locations really wasn’t even remotely secret. Luckily, though, we were able to find an enormous amount of gorgeous pockets to shoot in and, well, I love this photographs something fierce.

This is the third time I have photographed Arie and Dewa, but the first time I have ever photographed them alone. When Dewa described their relationship to me, she commented that Arie was her rock and I just absolutely adore that. These two are obviously so happy and so in love and I had such a good time getting to spend a weekend afternoon with them.

Also, can you believe that they have been married for twelve years?!

Yeah, me neither.
