I feel like I have wanted to take photographs in a greenhouse since the day I was born.

Sure, that’s a little dramatic, but you know how it is when you have an idea in your head for years- maybe it’s that you’d like to try a perm or start a blog or learn how to crochet a baby blanket or, I don’t know, go snowshoeing while it’s actually, y’know, snowing- and you finally have the opportunity to put that plan into action? It kinda makes you nervous, but mostly you are excited because after thinking about it countless times, you’re actually there! You’re making things happen! And maybe most exciting of all, you’re about to find out whether you’ll rock it like you always dreamed of or you’re about to find out that snowshoeing is fun but you’re more of a beach kind of girl (ps. I am a beach girl and that perm when I was nine? I looked straight out of a book about Medusa). That’s how this session was. I was pretty nervous to shoot this, but Maddie was the sweetest girl with such a giggly, fun personality and I loved spending my Saturday morning with her earlier this month.

And this session? We rocked it. I am absolutely head-over-heels with how these babies turned out. We shot these at Westwood Gardens on Wedington and it was an absolute blast. I loved this location so much, I’m already hoping to shoot another session there once it gets warmer and plants start growing huge and out of control. How fun would that be?! I loved taking these photos!

Oh! And a whoppin’ thank you to Maddie’s boyfriend for coming along! No way could the two of us opened all those greenhouse doors without you!
