When Lauren told me that she wanted to set up a stylized Valentine’s booth with our kids, I agreed immediately. I mean, what photographer doesn’t want to take stylized photographs of their own child on a Saturday afternoon? So! We did just that and drove up to meet Krista (who, let’s be honest, brought in her amazing styling skills and put together a huge amount of this gorgeous set- her husband even made the booth) on the first Saturday in February. The setup was GORGEOUS and, as soon as we started patting each other on the back about our beautiful setup (okay, I was patting everyone else on the back because all I did for this shoot was pick up Crush soda and paper straws and was just amazed I was being included), the wind started to go crazy! What started out as a nice day with no wind turned into a freezing cold afternoon with gusty winds.
So we did what any photographer moms would do- we took pictures of our kids for less than half an hour and then parted ways so our children would still have working fingers and toes for the rest of their lives (and if you parted ways in Little Red- the car I’ve had since my senior year of high school- that way included a stop at Krispy Kreme followed by Steak and Shake for dinner).
But enough about cold winds and my favorite fast food burger joint, y’all are here for photographs!
