Spending Saturday morning with Katie was absolutely wonderful.
The night before, my husband and I had built a fort and had a family sleepover underneath the sounds and lights of Tangled and Super Why with a two year old and a teething baby, so when I woke up last Saturday, I’d actually been awake the whole night. I’d been looking forward to my morning library shoot with Katie for weeks and was a little worried that my lack of sleep would make our session harder than it needed to be. But! Lucky for me, Katie and I clicked right off the bat and had a great time shooting these portraits. Katie is a nursing student at the University of Arkansas and she is just as funny as she is pretty (read: very funny). Also, can we get a hallelujah for how patient this girl is? She sat still for me while I free lensed even though I’d just packed up my tilt-shift- a lens that also takes a lot of sitting still for. This girl is a rockstar.
I’m so thrilled to share these with you!
P.S. For those interested, these were all shot with a Canon 5d Mark II, a 24L Tilt-Shift, a 35L (my favorite lens!), and a Pancake 40.
Apparently I like to shoot wide (also wide open).
