Happy Saturday, y’all!
Lately, I have been sharing a ton of High School Senior Blog Posts, Senior Model Spotlight Interviews, Engagement Blog Posts, and Personal Blog Posts, too! I love all of these things so much but, let’s be for real: This blog just isn’t itself unless it’s bursting with flowers and tulle and detail shots, too. I love weddings with my whole heart – they are the best! – and, in celebration of my upcoming 2016 Wedding Season, I thought I’d take a moment and talk about a few of my favorite Northwest Arkansas venues! This area has the most gorgeous and unique wedding venues ever and I’m super excited to talk about a few of them with y’all today!
Disclaimer: This list is not comprehensive. Northwest Arkansas has so many inspiring, breathtaking venues and I love them all. These are just the ones I’m crushing on this morning!
The Arkansas Air and Military Museum
Two and a half years ago, Andrew and I buckled our babies up and took them to the Arkansas Air and Military Museum. It was one of my very favorite Saturday afternoons ever: Max ran around like an airplane, Henry looked around wild eyed and his hair stood up in every direction, and Andrew talked to the museum guide for, like, two hours. It was awesome! Andrew and I love museums and, the first time we went to this one, we fell hard. And the next week? I got a wedding inquiry from the sweetest bride ever and, a few months after that, Andrew and I were back at Drake Field, photographing Rachel and Adam’s wedding and loving every minute.
I like the Arkansas Air Museum for lots of reasons but, for a wedding venue, I like it for one very simple reason: It’s creative. There is so much you can do with this awesome setting. The hanger gives so much open space, the airplanes automatically add interest and uniqueness to any wedding party and, building on that, you can make the wedding as laid back or as sophisticated as you want it to be. This wedding venue is a gem and I so adore shooting there!
The University of Arkansas // Inn at Carnall Hall
I am not a native Fayettevillian (Fayetteville-ian?). I grew up half in Mobile, Alabama and half in Kansas City, Missouri and, when I first heard of couples marrying one another at The University of Arkansas, I was surprised! I’d never known anyone who was married on a university campus but, because the University of Arkansas is stunning, I was super excited that I would possibly be able to shoot a wedding on campus in the future. And over time? Weddings at The Inn at Carnall Hall have totally become my jam. My weddings at the Inn at Carnall Hall always seem to find that perfect balance of traditional + unique + creative (which is SO hard!!) and, best of all, they are always flat out, unabashedly gorgeous. I have so many wonderful things to say about this breathtaking venue!
Here’s some past blog posts of Inn at Carnall Hall Weddings! I love these!

Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista
The Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel is a wedding staple in Northwest Arkansas. The venue itself is gorgeous – the architecture is so unique and attracts so many creative couples from all over the United States – and, honestly, everything about it is beautiful. Allison and Mark were my most recent couple to marry one another in The Cooper Chapel. And this fall? Weisi and Trae will marry there as well!
Magnolia Gardens in Springdale
Nearly a year ago, Kayla and Evan married one another at Magnolia Gardens in Springdale. I’d heard of Magnolia Gardens several times and, you guys, this place is gorgeous. It is super vintage and lovely and, honestly, it’s one of my favorite venues I’ve ever shot at. I love it!
Backyards! SO Many Backyards!
There are so many kinds of wedding venues: industrial venues, chapel venues, quirky venues… the list goes on and on. But! One of my very favorite venues is backyard wedding venues. I love when couples marry one another in their backyard or their parents’ backyard or the backyard of their church. These kind of venues – the kind that you see on a regular (sometimes daily!) basis in your everyday life are so meaningful and, every time a backyard wedding inquiry pops in my mailbox, I squeal a little bit inside. Backyard weddings are so romantic and I totally adore them.

And in 2016?! You’ll be seeing a ton of the following Arkansas wedding venues on this blog:
Barn at The Springs, Sassafrass Springs, Pratt Place Inn and Barn, Cooper B. Memorial Chapel, Teatro Scarpino, St. Anthony’s on the Creek, and several more barn and backyard weddings scattered across Arkansas – and Missouri, too! My wedding season starts a bit late this year – May 21st! – and I am bursting at the seams to get back to shooting (and sharing!) insanely gorgeous Arkansas weddings.
